Double Bass, Cello, and Music Theory Instructor
Lee Si Yuan
An experienced Cello and Double Bass teacher with more than a decade of performing and teaching experience. As a performer, Siyuan’s music career has led him to perform in concert venues of countries such as at the Berlin Philharmonie in Germany (In 2024 with Kids Philharmonic) , the Cultural Center of Hong Kong (With the Asian Youth Orchestra in 2018 and KPO in 2019), as well as many locations in China, Japan and Korea. Aside from his role as Principal Bassist of kids’ philharmonic@sg Orchestra, he also works as a freelancer, frequently performing with various orchestras, individuals and groups in Singapore and internationally as a guest bassist.
An avid teacher, Siyuan also teaches many Double bass, Cello and music theory students throughout Singapore, with many students over the years achieving great success in many endeavors such as DSAs, graded exams, competitions and auditions. He is also an instrumental mentor at schools such as CHIJ Secondary, River Valley High school and the Singapore Korean International School.
Siyuan is an Alumni of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where he was admitted into the the Diploma in Music course at age 17 after less than a year of learning Double bass, where he subsequently studied Double Bass with Jacek Mirucki. Upon graduation from NAFA, he undertook a successful admission into the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in 2017, with full scholarship , as a student of Guennadi Mouzyka, graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) in Double Bass Performance.
